In summary, DO NOT bring a dog you find to this place. I took in a dog I found on the screen to have her scanned for a chip so she could be returned to the owner. She had one but they forcibly kept the dog and would not allow me to return it to the owner who lived 1/4 mile away from where I found it. They made a call to a disconnected phone and sent a postcard which was not returned. I adopted the dog so she would not be euthanized. She developed pneumonia (I was told by my vet that every dog coming out of there would have a lung infection). Treating and hospitalizing her cost well over $1,000. DO NOT take a dog you find here. Take it to any other rescue.

Do not deal with this place. They sent domeone to pick up a stray cat that was sick snd dying in front of my house. When the woman arrived to take the cat, the way she treated the animal was rough, like it was garbage, she lacked compassion. Apart from that they told me it was free, dhe demanded 80 dollars for euthanizing and gave me a violation notice. Nothing humane about this place, steer clear of it

The ACC is Government funded and yet when your animal gets abducted by them, each they get your animal, the price goes up. a friend of mine said the next time they get his dog it would be $500.00 to get back. Peggy Adams Rescue is non-profit and they hardly charge anything. SO PLEASE, IF YOU MUST CALL TO HAVE AN ANIMAL TAKEN IN, DO NOT CALL ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL!!

I adopted a dog from here and ...

I adopted a dog from here and the dog ended up having kennel cough. I noticed the dog acting strange so i toke him to the vet where i found out he has kennel cough. now my 2 other dogs at home also have kennel cough because it is a HIGHLY contagious AIRBORNE disease. now i am stuck with a bunch of vet bills beacause of this..i am not pleased at all..they need to keep a more clean and sainiarty enviroment. if you do decide to adopt a pet here please becareful and make sure everything is ok with the dog before letting him or her go around other dogs.
