Matt gave us a very fair quote, and was able to move our job forward 2 weeks ahead of schedule. His crew was on time and very professional. We had 2 trees well over 50 feet tall encroaching on our house. They dropped them with precision. They also removed smaller trees and undercut 1 1/2 acres of property, capturing exactly what we were looking for. We have had nothing but compliments from the neighbors. Porterfield Stump and Tree removed a large dying oak tree that was close to our house. I was impressed with the quality of service from my initial contact mid-November, through the whole process. I did not get to meet Matt, the owner. All my communication was done with Bailey. Once I made a request on line Bailey, contacted me within 24 hours and was out the next day to give an estimate. Due to holidays, rainy weather, and emergency weather related tree removal, our tree was not removed until the second week in January. We knew our tree was not an immediate danger and appreciated the fact that the company needed to attend to clients with fallen trees. In addition, a business that respects their employee's family time during the holidays indicates high standards to us. Bailey made frequent calls and kept us informed the whole time. The addition of a sunroom and fifteen years growth on an already large oak, placed the tree within 6 feet of the house. Flower beds and landscaping left very narrow spaces around the tree for dropping limbs as the tree was trimmed. Francis, an employee of Porterfield's, demostrated extreme skill doing this. I was amazed and grateful! They all functioned as a team, did great work, and are a credit to the company. I highly recommend Porterfield Stump and Tree!

Excellent experience! Was really impressed with how easy it was. My husband said he was half way done cutting grass before he realized the tree was even gone - they do a great job with cleanup after. Plus peace of mind that they had insurance in the off chance something went wrong. Will definitely use again!
