Scary!!! Scary!!! Please go else where!! Dr. totin performed a front de-claw on our cat...after surgery when his face began to swell and his temp. rise she explained "perhaps he ate a bug or a spider bit him" REALLY???!!! That same day at 9:30 pm we received a call from the vet tech to come pick him up and take him the er hospital!! Scared out of our minds we raced him to Blue Pearl ER. They watched over our cat all night as his temperature continued to rise. By 8am we were back at the Rochester vet to have the Dr. check him out. Seems she was only concerned about getting him out of there as to avoid any further complications and wash her hands of any liability. They were happy to get our amex and charge us the full amount ($357.50) even though the cat was there for only 12 hours as opposed to the 48 hours after care we were told he would receive. initially, he was to have pain medicine 2x/day for 7 days. They sent us home with nothing!! When we called with concerns and a few questions the next day, they brushed it off as they were" so busy"!! No follow up calls or concerns from them at all. When i questioned why i was charged the full amount the office manager Katie replied the "surgery is a flat fee we can't refund anything" i warned of my absolute horror of this unfortunate situation. They could care less. No compassion whatsoever!! As i sit here and type this now, my husband is again, at the ER vet with complications from this horrendous surgery. We have already spent well over $300.00 on additional care because we couldn't get the care from them. if you have a pet, I beg you to go else where. The Rochester vet hospital may look like a nice place, but it's not and they are rude, incompetent fools!!!
I was very pleased with the quality of care they provided to my pet. They are very compassionate, and treated my pet very well. I would still go there if I could afford their rates.
