Dr. D’Angelantonio is an Internationally known expert in Foot and Ankle Surgery and he is right here in New Jersey. Prior to becoming President and Chief Medical Officer of Integrated Foot and Ankle Specialists, Dr. Albert D’Angelantonio III joined Penn Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Surgery, Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery where he provided outstanding care to each and every one of his patients from 2012-2022. Throughout his career, he was the first and only faculty member to join Penn Medicine and the Division of Plastic Surgery with dedicated expertise in foot, ankle and lower leg reconstruction and was the only person credentialed in foot and ankle surgery to have ever completed specialized training at Penn Medicine in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery of the lower extremities until he became the Fellowship Director and shared his knowledge and extensive experience with his trainees. This unique training was afforded to Dr. Albert D’Angelantonio III as he was selected from the most highly qualified and sought after individuals in the United States as the very first fellow to pioneer and complete a dedicated lower extremity fellowship within the Division of Plastic Surgery of Penn Medicine at the prestigious Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and University of Pennsylvania Health Systems. His advanced fellowship training and experience focuses on providing patients with both functional and aesthetic outcomes for all conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. Dr. D’Angelantonio actively educates surgeons from around the world each year. In fact, Dr. D’Angelantonio is THE foot and ankle surgeon to other surgeons and their families.
