Paige Winkler is 5 stars for cut and color!

Absolutely loved it! I haven't been to a salon in ages because I don't like spending a ton on just a cut, but this place changed my mind. I went on my lunch break because I was tired of my long, plain, hair and wanted some change. From start to finish it was great, I got Lacey and she washed (and massaged quite nicely :-)) my hair and then gave me a cut I was happy with. Everyone was friendly and it made me feel comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone, the price was reasonable and the service was top notch!

J. Bauman Salon (fka A Hot Spot) is very close to my house and inexpensive. These were the initial reasons that I purchased a package of 10 tans. Unfortunately, I didn't ask to see the beds before I made my purchase. The beds are old, rusted along the edges and insufficiently cleaned for my taste, and I'm not squeamish. The fans are rusted and old. Recently, when I climbed into the bed and pulled the top part down, my hand was covered in grease from previous clients' tanning oils - gross! The pros are the location, the price, the friendly staff, and the fact that I never had to wait for a bed. However, one morning I stopped in, and there was an inspector there who was requesting to speak to the owner. The receptionist said they couldn't allow anyone to tan that day. I returned the next day, and everything seemed back to normal, but I didn't notice any changes. I will not be returning to this salon, for the sheer fact that I don't think the rooms are sanitary.
