I live in Alabama and had mailed a package to my son who lives in Norfolk. There was a problem with the delivery of the package through my fault and not theirs. I called their office and spoke with Dawn Sonnier (I hope the spelling of the last name is correct.) She was very professional and nice. While I could tell that their office was very busy, she took the time to help me with my problem and we were able to get it resolved. I cannot thank her enough!!! Great job!!!

We've been living at this same address for 23 years now and the postal service to our area has always been the worst ever! They deliver late most every day and they often don't even bother to stop and pick up my outgoing mail for several days in a row. Here we are at Christmas time waiting on a package that we paid to have shipped with a 2 day delivery on Dec. 7th. The seller acknowledges it shipped on Dec. 14th and expected to arrive on Dec. 16th. I try to be sympathetic to the postal workers knowing that they have a heavy load this time of year, but this is just taking too long to deliver. Here we are on Dec. 21 and my mail was delivered at 5:15pm but there were STILL no packages. I tried to call them about it yesterday, but after 24 minutes on hold, my phone battery died. The packages contain my daughter's Christmas gifts and I am desperate to get them. Looks like I have to go stand in that huge line tomorrow even though I already know that they are going to say exactly what the online status has said for 3 days now... "Your package is out for delivery." UGH!!!

Absolute the worst!!! After a month and a half I received back the birthday package I had sent to my niece there. It was left "unclaimed" and they Supposedly attempted to deliver 3 times.. However there was NEVER a notice left AND it is preprinted on the label to LEAVE IF NO RESPONSE! Now my P.O. wants to charge me ANOTHER $16 to resend. This is BS!!!!!!! Too bad you cant give negative stars.

This is by far the worst post office in existence. They constantly lose my mail and argue with me about this fact. They are rude, disrespectful and downright mean. Don't bother trying to call them for anything because on the off chance someone actually picks up they will leave you on hold for upwards of 20-30 minutes and forget that you are there. I have never in my life dealt with worse customer service from the manager and all the staff.

this place is just awful!!!

This has to be the worlds worst post office! Some days they don't even deliver mail until 7:00 pm or not at all! The people who work there are the unfriendlinest people you will ever meet in your life, they have no work ethic, and care nothing about their customers! You may as well not even bother using this Post office because it will be not like having one. You will never receive your mail but get everyone else's instead! Horrible place of business

Although the people at the cou...

Although the people at the counter are friendly, it doesn't compensate for the incompetent way the system is run in general. I have had a few bad experiences with this office now. With the first, I went out of town for two weeks and stopped in to have my mail placed on hold before I left, only to find out from a neighbor that they were still delivering packages. When I tried to call and take care of the situation by phone, the man I spoke with was rude and would not let me finish a sentence. He also insisted that my mail wasn't being delivered even though I knew for a fact that it was. The mail was held after that date, however when I went in to the office upon my return so I could pick up my mail and speak with a manager to address the situation, she pretty much passed off any responsibility, stating that the mail had been held and any tracking info that I saw online stating that it had been delivered only meant that it had been delivered to the post office itself. That's funny because when I opened my door after the return home, I found quite alot of mail that had been inserted through my mailslot, and picked up packages from my neighbor that had been left at my door. The second instance involves them losing 4....that's right, 4 packages in 5 weeks time. I went in to the office to address it and see if there was a way to investigate the process and make sure that all of my packages would make it to my home. I was told that it was not the post office losing them and that I should contact the company's sending the packages. The company's were from 4 separate states, using 4 different post offices......the only common factor is this post office, but they refused to even consider that it could be them. So my packages will probably continue to get lost or stolen because they don't seem to want to accept any responsibility for errors. Everyone makes mistakes, but when you refuse to accept any responsibility so you can try to correct them, there is a problem. I am in the process of contacting the postmaster general to initiate an investigation regarding my packages since the post office itself did not want to hear me. Four packages in 5 weeks is simply too many, and there is no way the company's are responsible when they are all in different states and completely unconnected. If it were only one, I could see that, but when it's 4 separate packages from 4 separate sellers, there is something going on at the post office that needs to be evaluated.

Best Post Office Ever!

Yes, this post office is small but the people working the counter are the friendliest mail-clerks I've ever done business with. They are knowledgeable and always try to get you the best deal. I once brought in a box to be shipped that was a similar size to a flat-rate box and they actually took the time to help me pack the cheaper box - all because they wanted to save me a few extra dollars.

I use to live in Virginia Beach and go to to the post office on Lynnhaven and that post office was terrible. Even though it was much larger than Wright Station the line moved just as slowly with double the amount of people working. And they were rude! I hated going to the post office when I lived in Virginia Beach.

Now that I live in Norfolk and use Wright Station for all my post office needs, I love going to the post office. Yes, the lines can get excessive (it happens when the maximum amount of mail-clerks working behind the counter are 3) but it's wonderful customer service. They'll answer your questions and actually talk to you like a human being!

AWFUL!

This post office is TERRIBLE. Long lines, few people to check you out and most of all, don't you dare move - you'll never get your mail forwarded!! I moved within this zipcode, so I got online to forward my mail to my new address a WEEK before I moved (paid the $1 to do it online as well) and then never got anything forwarded to me until I dragged my kids in to wait in line for 20 minutes just to try to get it figured out a month later! It's been 2 1/2 months since then and I still don't get my mail forwarded! I have been waiting on some important mail to be forwarded to my new address and I never received it. I've called the post office 4 times and can never get anyone to pick up. Oh, and I let it ring for about 3-5 minutes. Terrible service. Not worth the trip or the trouble. Plus, they keep charging you more money for stamps for less quality service and delivery.
