Gas services were turned on November 2014, services were turned off in early March 2015 (I stopped using the gas in January). In my closing bill they added a "Warm Rate Adjustment Fee" of $20.10, the explanation was that the WARM program "adjusts the rate per therm billed December through mid-May if actual weather is colder or warmer than normal." When I called customer service to ask for a more thorough explanation I was told that because it was not as cold as expected this winter, bonus charges were applied. They charged me a higher rate on the gas I used 2 months earlier BECAUSE IT WASN'T COLD ENOUGH and their gas wasn't used as much as they expected. The WARM program (which they automatically enroll you in) is a scam! If you like being billed with surprise fees by a company because they don't feel like they got enough of your money, use NW Natural!
