What a DISAPPOINTMENT! $250 wasted.

I went to Jungle Red with high expectations. I had heard about it from a friend that used to live nearby and thought it looked like a nice place. I checked out reviews and I didn't see any major red flags.

I get there and the place seems pretty good considering the building was once a car wash. Also Tabitha "took over" this past summer/fall, so I'm sure it was a big improvement. However Tabitha should have stuck around a lot longer to have made any impact here.

The stylists seem nice but SO FAKE! I actually started counting how many time I heard "Awesome!" Annoying but no big deal if they are good. My hair was pretty blond, I would get highlights from Fantastic Sam's (yes, I know) and always had a decent result but I wanted a change and didn't want to risk inexperience and wanted to go to a "nice" salon.

I brought in several pictures of the look I was going for which is a Jennifer Aniston color (Brond) Nice and warm and an easy transition from a bright blond. The stylist selects a couple of colors that she thinks would look good. I thought, and expressed that the colors seemed cooler than what I though would turn out. She insisted that these would give me the look I desired and who am I to argue- I don't know hair coloring techniques. But I was starting to worry

She proceeded to foil my hair and then had another girl (who was actually quite sweet and normal) did an all over color with the remaining hair. Long story short, Hair is washed and dried and looks NOTHING like what I had asked for. The top portion looked ok, kind of buttery. The rest of my hair pretty much looked gray. Like a dusty mousy brown. NO shine, NO warmth, NO pop.

Of course the other girls there fawned over my hair and how great it looked- Are They Blind?! It looked worse than if I had bought a $7 box and took my chances at home. I was so bummed... $250 for a crappy color.

I went back the next day to see if anything could be done to add warmth or something to my hair. The stylist started talking about that my hair was "just so blond that it took the color differently" Thats why I am going to a pro! To have my hair assessed and treated in whatever way it needs to get the look I want! At least a warning that it won't turn out well would have been nice.

She hurriedly put some caramel streaks in part of the hair. It looks slightly tolerable, at least until I can afford to go to another stylist in a few weeks.

NO good! Unless you are a color blind 14 year old that wants to talk about gum
