took my machine in to get serviced. The tech looked at, it worked on it a bit- had another tech look at it. told me I was using the wrong type of bobbin and needed to be careful when putting in the needle. Yes, I am a beginner at sewing, but they gave me a short training class on my ( very small and old machine) and suggested I should come in and give one of their beginning sew classes a try.I was very impressed with the store and will be returning for a few classes!

The pride themselves on their excellent customer service, but even my boyfriend commented on how rude the technician was. Sure my machine is old, but the technician went out of his way to denigrate my machine (which only need tuning and repair about $100-200) in order to convince me to buy a new machine -- he pointed out a $250 one or if I wanted the same features I currently had a $325 one. He emphasized that I could keep it if I didn't really want to sew anything, for "sentimental" reasons, etc. Then as a final blow went into great detail about the cosmetic problems with my machine ("you're missing a screw, these feet are in bad shape") and kept talking about how I would have to put a lot of money into it to "restore" it. I just want to sew with it, which it's never had any problems doing, but after 5 years it needed a tune-up. He seemed to think that my old machine wasn't good enough. Go elsewhere unless you want/have a new machine!
