We the the Jones family would like to take the time out to thank a group of people who have changed our lives and touched our life in a special way. We met the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes in 2004 while my husband Sgt.Tracy Jones was in the V.A. Hospital recovering from injuries he sub stained in Balaird Iraq camp Anaconda . Thanks to the Colalition we were one of the first families to receive a Home for Heros. This act of kindness has been such a blessing to Sgt. Jones an I. We thank the Coalition an all it supporters for having such a kind an caring heart. We can't say Thank You Enough fro Your Kindness an Love.

I was medically retired since last summer. Since then life has been completely difficult. It was difficult adjusting to civilian life, it felt like a roller coaster to say the least. After spending 10 years in the Air Force, the outside world can be a very scary place. It seems as though I have stumbled across every road block you can imagine. However, recently I received an email regarding your program. I was informed that I was selected to receive a check for the holidays. I actually called to make sure it was true. That seriously made my day. What I want to say is just a small gesture of $60 can really change someones outlook on life. I am grateful of what you do and what you stand for.

Thank you for your kind letter and your financial gift for the holidays. We though you would be pleased to know that we bought a delicious turkey and invited another military family who are friends of us and a fellow Afghanistan injured amputee for dinner. It was a wonderful time of food and friendship and fellowship. Thank you for remembering our service.

I must first and foremost give my thanks and appreciation for the gift! It was such a blessing at a time where my fiance and I were struggling to pay the bills this month and have anything left over for a Christmas for our two children. I opened the mail in the car and let out a surprised yell, and started tearing up from utter disbelief that God heard our prayers and made this happen. We are two full time students and I am medically retired with a 80% disability from my service and have struggled finding any employer that would work with my medical appointments and school schedule. This gift came at such the right time because our holidays had a grey outlook from not being able to have even a Christmas tree in the house, found a good one at Goodwill so we put it up and the 3 year old had such a great time decorating it and my fiance couldn't quit smiling! I recently received your wonderful donation from your organization and your many donors this holiday season. I am simply at a loss for words to describe my appreciation for your gift. I have had a rough go at it this last year. My family has been torn apart by the separation of my long time significant other. The hidden scares and symptoms that I have from combat haunt me to this day, where the determining factors in her decision to end our relationship and in turn ending our family unit. I take responsibility for my failures as man. I work very closely with my VA therapists and medical providers in my rehabilitation. But this has caused our very young children to live in two separate households as well as spend endless amounts money and resources in court fees, just to be in my children's lives that I love so very much. Words can not express how grateful we are for your organizations gifts to our family. Salute America's Heroes helped us at a time of great need and then in the mail we receive a Christmas donation and then just recently an Easter gift. These gifts were unexpected, however very much needed. Your organization and those that support it are heroes in my family's eyes.

I thank you and all of the americans who have not forgotten us in our time of transition and need.
