Today is June 13, 2012. It could have been a horrible day but it ended on a HIGH note because I got a root canal -- PAIN FREE! I walked into Dr. Discepolas office, got a root canal and left with a wide smile REALLY AMAZING, NO JOKE, I AM SO HAPPY AND RELIEVED. Years ago, I had a bad dentist experience 8 fillings in one day at 8 years old. I saw Dr. Discepola last year for some fillings, and returned today in great pain. A long ago deep filling flared up and my back molar felt like it was on fire. WOW you performed a painless root canal today -- you have a caring staff and a comfortable, clean office. I never thought I would be giving a 5 STARS REVIEW FOR A ROOT CANAL, but here it is! THANKS! Regards, J. Sangillo Jersey City, NJ

Dr. Discepola & Dr. Weil do great cosmetic work. I have been a patient for a few years, their office was referred to me by friends that had some amazing results. He does great crowns! Everyone is right, he has the magic touch, did not hurt at all. I recommend him to anyone that is looking for a new dentist!

The painless dentist should be his slogan. He does a great cleaning and it doesn't hurt a bit, he is thorough, and has a great bedside manner. Best dentist ever!

Dr DIscepola is great I have no idea what that person was talking about. Everyone is sooooo nice in the office and every time I come out of the office I always have a big smile on. I never feel a thing and for me that is the best part of going because I'm such a chicken. Thank you.
I am responding to the other review & giving a review. That person didn't review the actual work of the dentist, she probably just didn't want to pay her bill. I have been using Dr. Discepola as my dentist for over 30 years, and I highly recommend him.
Everyone has always been polite. You know how some dentists hurt you and make you bleed during your cleanings, not this guy. Very gentile. I know lots of people that switched over to him from my recommendation and everyone couldn't be happier.
Very experienced Dr's who know what they are doing. Thank you for bringing back the smile that I remember.
The front desk and the nurse of Mr. Discepola have a bad attitude. They dont know how to treat their customers. I recently went for a checkup. The nurse wanted to take my full-mouth x-rays. I asked her if she checked with my insurance provider if they will cover the cost. She promptly said "Yes".
Now, 2 weeks later I get an invoice from Mr. Discepola's front desk, asking me to pay for the full x-ray amount. I politely asked them didnt they check with my insurance before they took the x-rays. The lady start screaming at me over the phone and says its my fault that I didnt check with my provider before getting the x-rays. When I told her that the nurse said she checked with my provider, the lady starts screaming at the top of her voice, "its your responsibility to pay for this" and then threatens me that she will submit it to a collection agency if I dont pay.
I had no choice but to pay for this. In all, it was a bitter experience. There are plenty of other dentists on central avenue, I recommend that you try others....
