Although my orthopedic surgeon (Roberts, MD) was Board Certified and wonderful, I have heard nothing but excellent reports of quality caring healers that seem to love what they do. My results (knee surgery) could not have been better or less complicated. Even people in my office have noticed how rapid my recovery has been and asked what 'group' my surgeon was from. I have heard such horror stories from orthopedic procedures either turning out 'wrong' or patients being treated indifferently post-op, I can hardly believe some of the suffering my colleagues have been through from appear to only be classified as borderline butchers, anxious to get to their golf game. Growing up in a family of physicians, I am certainly versed in good, caring treatment. What used to be called bedside manner. My surgeon and his staff had no prior knowledge of my connection to the medical community, so certainly favoritism can be ruled out. Even the office mgr worked out a payment plan. Fabulous!
