We built a brand new salt water pool. It has been a very slow, frustrating experience. EVERY person we have met with Pooltech has been amazing! They have been the best part of this frustrating process.

Worse pool company hands down! My home warranty company, Old Republic sent them to my home. First issue was our pool filter was leaking, September 26, 2016. I have a regular pool service, but since my pool is covered with my warranty company I called them to do the repairs. Paid my $65.00 co pay, they ordered the new filter. I was out of town when they were coming back to install the new filter. I asked my regular pool guy to swing by the next day and make sure everything was fine since we were across the country. thank goodness he went, the new filter was defective, gushing water, therefore no water was circulating through the motor. It looked like someone had tried to get it to fit by hitting the top with a hammer or rubber mallet. I called the supervisor Ken and made a complaint directly to him, and my pool guy even called to explain to Ken what he had witnessed. I had to ask Old Republic to do a recall on the bad filter and again wait for the new one to come in. Now a week later they come out again, I'm at work, they install the replacement one, leaving behind a mess of cut up PVC piping etc. I once again ask my pool guy to go check on their installation, only a few hours after they finished and again no water is flowing through the motor, so its grinding and is so hot you can feel the heat radiating off it. My pool guy turns everything off. I call Pool Tech again and complain. I call Old Republic, tell them everything, now they have to do a new order, have Pool Tech go out and order me a new motor, to replace because of them burning mine out. week goes by and finally they go out to install the new motor, again I ask my pool guy to go inspect after they are done...The motor was used and clearly old. Plus they once again installed and walked away, it had thrown the shaft (impeller) and so it was stripped and grinding. Keep in mind that we started working with Pool Tech September 26, now it is November 4! Finally just paid my own guy to install a new motor.

This is the worst business I've had the opportunity to work with. It started when the Hayward product I bought was defective. The product was a Hayward housing unit. They had a technician come out and change the unit. He came out on a Monday and did nothing and left. It turns out the the part he needed was not in stock at his business and they needed to order a new one to come change the defective one. It took two and a half weeks for the product to come in!! My customers pool became fully green. I was very disappointed and It doesn't end there. When they finally recieved the housing unit two and a half weeks later, the same technician came out to the house and brought the housing unit with him. This guy is so dumb he told me I need a new jandy valve to replace the housing unit or else it won't work. I was so mad because I knew that was untrue. I took the housing unit from him, "which he didn't want to give it to me" and I changed it. It runs great now, no help from this crappy company

It is apparent that this company is dishonest and a shill for the home warranty companies. Claiming a 16 year old pool heater that has never had service issues before is now broken (internal valve) due to non maintenance is a joke. They will of course fix it if I pay them $4,000. The guy spent 10 minutes at my home, collected my service fee and rapidly left. There are much more qualified and honest companies out there folks. Keep looking.
