The Pacific Independent Physicians Association is a community-based physicians membership organization. It has been serving the members of health maintenance organizations since 1986. The association s membership network includes more than 600 physicians. The Pacific Independent Physicians Association offers medical consultation referral services. The association maintains a staff of multilingual specialists that provides assistance and communication services for its members. It has received the Provider Achievement Award from HMO health plans for quality of services to members and providers. The association offers health plans from Aetna, WellPoint, Blue Shield of California, Care1st Health Plan, CIGNA and SCAN Health Plan. The Pacific Independent Physicians Association is located in El Monte, Calif.
