My son took swimming lessons last year at YMCA in Council Bluffs. Sadly my son spent most his time sitting on a wall waiting for an instructor to work with him. This year my son is taking swimming lessons at Pirates Cove. It is very reasonable pricing ($25.00 per week) and he is in the water the entire time with the instructor. We were blessed to have Jack as his instructor. Jack made this a FUN learning experience. The most important part is these instructors don't pass the children unless they have learned all the items listed in this class. After our first lesson we were fortunate enough to sign up for the rest of the summer classes. If you have a child who needs to learn to swim I recommend you take them here. They will learn to swim and have fun and most importantly enjoy learning to swim.
