It was a last minute decision to go to prom and just my luck Mrs. Stella had my size and was more than happy to help. I received the greatest experience with Mrs. Nolen that I will go back anytime I need a last minute dress. Her having different varieties of dresses made my decision hard, but we eventually narrowed it down to one. The dress is perfect and I appreciate everything that was done for me. My experience in her presence is like no other. From the moment I walked in the door I seen nothing but a smile on her face which put one on mine. I will recommend this place to everyone I know!
This place was GREAT for tux rentals! MS. STELLA the owner was very helpful to get exactly what we needed and wanted. Everything arrived on time & accordingly. I have absolutely NO COMPLAINTS. I recommend this place to everyone.
Nolen's Formal Wear is amazing! They were so helpful everytime we came in! We rented our tuxedo's for our wedding there and Stella was incredibly kind, patient, & helpful. They had the exact colors we were looking for that we couldn't find anywhere else. && They were also the least expensive!!! Nolen's has small town values with a big city selection!!!
All of the Reviews were very helpful. Me and my husband plan on renewing our vows in the next couple of years and were definitely going to Nolen's.
I'm so bad about waiting until the last minute to buy my Gala dress each year, but this year I even outdid myself! Stella and Elaine have been so supportive of MSC OPAS and our student committee over the years, and I hate to admit it but...I always thought they were strictly wedding attire and tuxedos. In a moment of desperation, I emailed Stella 3 days prior to the event hoping she has something....anything! That doesn't even begin to describe what she had. I tried on at least half a dozen different dresses that definitely weren't "bridesmaid-y". Stella was very attentive and went above and beyond pulling out options for me. In the end I went home with a reasonably priced, GORGEOUS red dress. I got (and am still getting) countless compliments. I will certainly be going to Stella first next year and saving myself a lot of heartache and stress! Thanks, ladies!

I evaluated Nolen’s on four dimensions that seemed to me to be the most important from a customer’s perspective:
First, Service and helpfulness
One of the first suggestions Stella made was to use a red tie and cummerbund (which turned out to be the preferred dress code) with the tuxedo, while the other store I visited failed to make this recommendation. She took the time and trouble to make sure that my tuxedo rental fit properly, and when it came time to try on the tuxedo, had a good sense of when to help and when I could take care of myself. Both Stella and Elaine were courteous and friendly, which made my experience with Nolen’s pleasant and enjoyable.
Second, Expertise and competency
Once I tried on a sample tuxedo for an initial measurement, Stella made several suggestions that helped the two of us to decide what alterations should be made to ensure a good fit. She then was able to take the measurements quickly and without a lot of fuss. When I came back later to try on my tux for a final fitting, Stella immediately noticed that the coat sleeves were a little long and the pants legs were too short. She had the needed alterations made by mid-afternoon of the following day, giving me plenty of time to get to my formal occasion.
Third, Quality, appearance, and value of tuxedo rental
I was very happy with my appearance once I had the tuxedo on, and received compliments from my Mom, as well as several people who also attended the formal occasion. Stella and Elaine made sure that my tuxedo rental had everything I needed for the occasion, including all the accessories. They also charged me less than the other tuxedo rental place I visited!! I felt like a million bucks, and I saved a lot!!
And fourth, Overall experience
Stella and Elaine both went the extra mile to make sure I had a good experience, and their dog Lucky even took the time to shake my hand. I give Nolen’s a 5 star rating for sure!!
I have used Nolen's for a number of years for different events, and Stella and Elaine were wonderful to work with. They were knowledgeable about the current styles of tuxedos and promdresses, which was helpful in deciding what to wear at both of my proms. My family also used Nolen's for my cousin's wedding. Every tuxedo was clean, pressed, and ready to go when we got to the store. Most importantly, everything fit properly! I recommend them to every one now.
