General Info

Dr. Polk is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology where he has served on the steering committee for the Diabetes EyeCare Program. He is a member of the medical staff at the Timonium Surgery Center and the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He is also a Clinical Instructor and gives regular lectures at the University of Maryland and Sinai Hospital. He is passionate about training the next generation of ophthalmologists and has won numerous teaching awards for his efforts to educate residents and medical students. Dr. Polk works equally hard to educate his patients about their eye disease while using language that is easy to understand.
