      Based in Augusta, Ga., Medical College of Georgia is an educational institution, founded in 1828. It is a unit of the University System of Georgia and enrolls more than 2,000 students. The college offers a wide range of one-year and advanced certificates and degrees at baccalaureate, master's, first professional and doctoral levels. Its academic programs include diagnostic medical sonography, health information administration, radiation therapy technology, acute care nurse practitioner, dental hygiene, radiologic sciences, medical illustration, oral biology, medicine and physical therapy.
