Wonderful bar, fun and lively establishment, with excellent bartenders. Take a friend and order the Uo-Oh or Krakatoa inside the bar!

Disney did it again! Kinda...

Nestled in the Disneyland Hotel away from the main thoroughfare it provides a semi private feeling. With a very small indoor bar attached to Tangaroa Terrace, this place can be easily missed. Decorated from top to bottom as only Disney can do. This place is eye candy for the tourist staying in the Disneyland Hotel but can be a nice get away for a local as many don't know this place exists. The inside is dark and cramped. While at the bar you periodically feel a slight mist spray as the lights flicker and the bar keep yells some sort of clever cliche that makes you feel like you are on Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Due to the size, this place can fill up fast leaving you waiting for some time to get a drink.
The food is kept to only appetizers but boy are they good. Every single item on the menu was fun and delicious. My favorite is the Kalua Pork Flatbread that satisfies my sweet and salty cravings without over filling me. The prices are your expected Disney pricing but the flavors are surprising.
The bar is pitifully stocked but hopefully this is due to it's newness and they will place more variety as it's doors stay open. I was hoping for a large rum selection being a tiki bar but they are currently failing on any rum variety at all (go buy a Sailor Jerry bottle from BevMo!). Their drinks were well made with fresh ingredients and were fun for both the eye and tongue.
The service was friendly with good conversation and quick to accommodate any special requests.
Overall this is a welcome addition to the Downtown Disney section making for a different getaway in typical Disney style. The food won't be your dinner if you are hungry but can definitely tickle your taste buds. With a better stocked rum selection this place could be five stars.
